SERVICE SCHEDULE CHANGE: MAY 18TH
On May 18th, much of Grace will be involved in the Arbutus Arts
Festival (see next announcement; if you’re not signed up to help,
you should be!). The festival begins at 10:00, so we have decided
to cancel the 11:15 service that day. The 7:30 and 9:00 services
will be held as usual.
ARBUTUS ARTS FESTIVAL
It is almost time for the Arbutus Arts Festival! This is a great
opportunity get our name out in the community and raise funds.
The Fair is on May 18th from 10:00am to 6:00pm on East Drive
(the road will be closed for this event). Our booth will be preparing
and selling hamburgers and sodas. We need at least 30 people to
help with this event. Come and join the fun! Let Judy Peddicord

WOMEN’S NIGHT OUT
The next Women’s Night Out is Sunday, May 18th at 6:00pm at
El Dorado, 6270 Washington Blvd. RSVP to the church office at

T-SHIRTS FOR SALE
Got Grace? T-shirts will be for sale after services. Please buy one
and wear it proudly to the Arbutus Arts Festival on May 18th.
THE ARC OF HOWARD COUNTY AWARD CEREMONY
Marianne Ross nominated our church for an award from The Arc
of Howard County, which works with children and adults with
developmental disabilities, and we won! The “Celebration of
Excellence” award recognizes the entire congregation of Grace
Church for their inclusion, acceptance, and support of individuals
with cognitive and developmental disabilities and their families into
our faith community. There will be a ceremony and reception on
May 20th at 7:30 at the Bain Center. Tickets are available for $5
per person. If you are interested in purchasing tickets please contact

WINDOWS FOR SALE
Do you need a window? If not, you could buy one for Grace! We
are installing 19 new windows at the Parish Hall at a cost of $295
per window. The vestry is considering various financing options
for this and other much needed repairs. If you’d like to help out,
please consider contributing one or more windows. It will make the
whole world clearer!
SPRING SONG HYMN FEST
The Spring Song Hymn Fest, our annual fund raiser for our Music
Ministry, will be held on June 8 at 3p.m. Hymn submissions are
being accepted with a $10.00 donation for each hymn submitted.
Forms for your selections are found at the entrances to the church

FOOD DONATIONS TO THE ELKRIDGE LOVE MISSION
We have spoken to the director of the Elkridge Love Mission
(ELM) in regards to food donations. The general consensus was
that we would better serve their needs if we would hold periodic
food drives rather than on going donations. The drives will be
posted in the announcements at the appropriate times. Monetary
donations are always welcome and can be put in the plate with ELM
on the memo line. As always ELM is thankful for our concern,
compassion and support.
USED PRINTER CARTRIDGES
We will no longer collect printer cartridges at Grace. You may pick
up envelopes for recycling them at the Post Office. Thank you for
your past support in this ministry.
